The importance of education<\/strong><\/h4>

Education in the Netherlands holds high importance for several reasons. First of all the\u00a0Dutch economy relies heavily on innovation and industries that are based on knowledge. Good educution will\u00a0 contribute to economic growth.\u00a0The Dutch education system is known for its focus on equality and challenging children. 2. There are 3 types of schools: (1) linked to religions, (2) not linked to religion, (3) special education.\u00a0
3. The most important subjects in primary education are language and math..
4. In primary school, we speak of groups. 1 and 2: children from 4 to 5 years. Group 3 children around 6 years old. Group 8: last year at school. Such report is in Dutch: “schoolrapport”.
5. Based on the school report, you can see how progress is going.
6. At a parent’s evening, you ask the teacher about how your child is doing.
